Deborah Benzil MD. served as Chairperson for the 5th International Conference of the Novalis Circle in Munich in 2010. Dr. Benzil has eighteen years of experience with Novalis® Radiosurgery throughout her neurosurgical practice. Dr. Benzil has experience treating a wide range of neurosurgical indications with Novalis Radiosurgery and has developed a particular expertise in the field of spine radiosurgery, establishing herself as a leader in this area in the academic community. Dr. Benzil is also very active in educating the Novalis Circle community on her techniques and travels extensively on our behalf to promote a greater understanding of the benefits of spine SRS.
Dr. Benzil received her undergraduate degree with honors (Phi Beta Kappa) from Brown University and her MD from the University of Maryland. She then completed a 2-year fellowship at NIH, Surgical Neurology Branch doing brain tumor research before completing her Neurosurgical Residency at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Benzil is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and is affiliated with Cleveland Clinic.
