That is why we have joined forces with Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron of the Endo-ERN - European Reference Network as clinical research partners.Hospital Universitari Vall d'Hebron is the biggest hospital in Catalonia, Spain. On top of its cutting-edge research department, the hospital has a robust pediatric unit, which allows us to gather vital data on treating children using our technology. Our clinical cooperation began last year and together we have been researching anatomical mapping in lesion and cranial landmark detection for the development of functions such as tumor segmentation. During this ongoing study we have already been able to collect data on 140 pediatric cases on top of a multitude of adult cases. Many thanks to everyone driving this clinical project: Fran Martinez-Ricarte, MD, Jorge Andrés Cabrera Cárdenas, MD, Margarita Figueroa Vezirian, MD, Fuat Arikan Abello, MD, Raquel Cánovas Paradell, Maria Antonia Poca Pastor, MD and Diego Fernando Lopez Bermeo, MD.We are looking forward to this ongoing clinical cooperation and to seeing what else we can accomplish together.Learn more about Brainlab as a clinical partner here: https://lnkd.in/gDiMe6pv

🎉Congratulations to the team at Centre d’Oncologie Nakhil in Rabat Agdal, Morocco on completing their first patient treatments with ExacTrac Dynamic!

https://www.novaliscircle.org/page/view-news?id=169

https://www.novaliscircle.org/page/view-news?id=169

ExacTrac Dynamic is our all-in-one system for delivering high-precision radiotherapy and radiosurgery treatments that has a deep integration with the Varian Edge linac. This includes things like bladder and respiratory motion. At Brainlab, we have a solution for this problem: ExacTrac Dynamic®, our radiation therapy patient tracking system. This technology features an implanted marker workflow that enables clinicians to accurately track and correct for any shifts in the patient's body that may occur during beam delivery.👉Thomas Kole, MD, PhD, from Valley Health System gave a talk about how they treat prostate cancer at his hospital, as well as why ExacTrac Dynamic works so well for this kind of treatment. Dr. Kole is an accomplished radiation oncologist and has a plethora of experience in the field and using ExacTrac Dynamic for ultra-hypofractionated prostate SBRT.Want to learn more?
