Clinical Evaluation of Elements Spine Contouring

Lilyana Angelov, MD, Head Section of Spine Tumors at Cleveland Clinic discusses the International Spine Radiosurgery Consortium Consensus Guidelines for target volume definition in spinal stereotactic radiosurgery and touches on using Elements Spine SmartBrush. She first discusses the massive paradigm shift in metastases disease management in that all branches of oncology (surgical, radiation, medical oncology) now offer leading-edge therapies for the disease. The goal of the treatment of spine metastases is preserving quality of life ultimately aiming for pain relief. She then discusses the three game changers in the treatment of spine metastases. Dr. Angelov discusses the development of the International Spine Radiosurgery Consortium Consensus Guidelines and ways to optimize radiosurgery.
