Clinical Implementation of Software for Treatment of Multiple Brain Metastases
Maximilian Niyazi, MD, from the Department of Radiation Oncology at the LMU University Hospital of Munich discusses the results of clinical implementation of Brainlab Elements Multiple Brain Mets SRS software for the treatment of multiple brain metastases. First, he gives an overview of his department and the systems available. He then discusses technical framework, precision radiotherapy and associated uncertainties and the literature available for Multiple Brain Mets SRS. He then goes into more detail about the Stereobrain trial, provides clinical results and concludes with plan comparisons of volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and dynamic conformal arc.
