Commissing and IGRT Requirements


Haisong Liu, PhD, from Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience in Philadelphia discusses commissioning and requirements for image guided radiation therapy (IGRT). He first gives and overview of Brainlab Elements Multiple Brain Mets SRS software and workflow. He touches on how the software calculates an optimized conformal treatment plan with a single isocenter. He then discusses commissioning and various methods for dosimetry validation as well as results comparing ExacTrac with cone beam CT from his institution.
