Dosimetric Evaluation of Elements Cranial SRS
James Robar, PhD, Chief of Medical Physics in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dalhousie University, Canada, gives a dosimetric evaluation of Elements Cranial SRS. He begins by giving a brief overview of the research concepts of 4pi radiosurgery, which is used to create composite organs at risk overlap maps. He then discusses how 4pi performs in Elements Cranial SRS software by giving a step by step outline of the planning workflow. Finally, he outlines his dosimetric evaluation of 10 vestibular schwannoma cases with four different configurations of planning systems to compare the results.
