Dosimetric Evaluation of Elements Multiple Brain Mets SRS

Manuel Todorovic, head of clinical medical physics at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE), Germany, discusses the dosimetric evaluation of Brainlab Elements Multiple Brain Mets SRS software. He begins by covering what is theoretically needed to achieve good dose distribution, including beam data commissioning and quality assurance, different treatment options and comparison of treatment planning options, and he discusses how this treatment planning can be done. He then covers what has to be taken into account to realize this desired dose distribution, including addressing any uncertainties as well as using image guidance with ExacTrac Patient Positioning & Monitoring System.
