Frameless SRS
Dirk Verellen, PhD, from UZ Brussel discusses frameless radiosurgery versus frame-based stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). He begins by defining “frame-based”, “frameless”, as well as “invasive” and “non-invasive” in terms of radiotherapy and gives a short history of intracranial SRS. He then compares frame-based and frameless in terms of dose and positioning accuracy and image guidance before sharing his team’s clinical validation.
