Peter Gerszten, MD, from UPMC University of Pittsburg discusses the International Spine Radiosurgery Consortium consensus guidelines for target volume definition in spine stereotactic SRS. He begins by discussing the issues associated with spinal metastases, as well as the consensus guidelines for target volume definition for GTV, CTV and PTV. He then goes into detail about the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) trial, including target volumes for metastases, spinal cord delineation, tolerance and compression, image fusion, as well as its results and findings.
