Ian Fraser, MD, from Plymouth Hospital NHS Trust presents his institution’s experience with long term outcomes after stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and fractionated radiotherapy for both functioning and non-functioning pituitary adenomas. He begins by discussing the treatment equipment as well as the methods of treatment with both SRS and fractionated radiotherapy. He then delves into the 47 patients treated, their diagnoses as well as their treatment methods and the results of treatment, including radiological control, endocrine remission and toxicity. He concludes by comparing their findings to other published literature.
