Teh, MD, Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas discusses their stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) program for radioresistant renal cell carcinoma (RCC). He begins by giving an overview of RCC including how it metastasizes, its incidence and radioresistance. He then goes into detail about their program: From gene expression profiling (GEP) to preclinical in-vitro/in-vivo experiments involving human RCC cell lines and nude mice xengraft models to clinical studies.
