The Emerging Role of Stereotactic Radiosurgery as an Adjuvant to Surgical Resections


Dwight Heron, MD, professor of radiation oncology from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center discusses the emerging role of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) as an adjuvant or potentially neoadjuvant treatment for surgical resection. He discusses specifically three indications relating to the above: brain metastases, pancreas cancer and recurrent squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck.
