Validation & Application of iPlan RT Dose-4.0 Planning System


Meisong Ding from the department of radiation oncology at the University of Colorado Hospital presents the validation and application of the iPlan RT Dose 4.0 planning system. He begins by introducing the software along with the methods of validation. He then delves into the dose calculation compared to measurement, the difference tween PB and MC calculations and its clinical application.

Man 1: Okay. Good mornings. Today, I'm going to talk about the validation and application of the iPlan 4.0 planning systems. First, I will briefly introduce what iPlan 4 is. Then the method of validation such as which one do we use. And the comparison between those calculations and the measurement. And the difference between the Pencil Beam and the Monte Carlo dose calculations. I will also show some of the real patients, Monte Carlo and treatment plans. I'm pretty sure, lots of institutions already have the iPlan 3, also some are still using the BrainSCAN. So, the iPlan 4...
